Mars Express: prestigious festival line-up announced in Benelux

After a remarkable start at the Cannes Film Festival and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2023, Mars Express will start off the 2024 year with an impressive festival presence. We are proud to announce that the film will do the opening of the renowned Brussels International Animation Film Festival, ANIMA. Mars Express has also been officially selected at the prestigious International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR).
Brussels International Animation Film Festival (ANIMA)
The 43rd edition of the Brussels International Animation Film Festival will kick off on 23 February 2024 with the virtuoso science-fiction film Mars Express. French director Jérémie Périn and set designer Anne Raffin will attend the opening ceremony to introduce the film and the screening will be followed by a Q&A.
Jérémie Périn and Anne Raffin will also be taking part in Futuranima’s interviews with professionals, on Monday 26 February with an unmissable ‘Making of’. They will lift the veil on the different stages in the production process of Mars Express with a unique look behind the scenes, followed by a Q & A session.
International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR)
Mars Express has been selected at the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR). From January 25 to February 4, this this stunning and gritty animation from first time director Jérémie Périn in the Limelight program of the film festival.
