POM & Altitude announce international deal on documentary Blur: To The end and Blur: Live at Wembley Stadium Concert Film

[Amsterdam 26 June 2024] - Piece of Magic Entertainment and Altitude Film Sales have partnered on the territory release of blur: To The End - which recently premiered to major fanfare at Sheffield Doc Fest - and blur: Live At Wembley Stadium.
Altitude will release blur: To The End in UK and Irish Cinemas from 19 July with the blur: Live At Wembley Stadium coming to cinemas on 6 September. Piece of Magic Entertainment will release blur: To The End and blur: Live at Wembley Stadium in the Benelux later in the year, as well as blur: Live at Wembley Stadium across Latin America in the Autumn. Other international release dates tbc.
blur: To The End depicts the most recent chapter in the band’s story, captured during the period in which they made a surprise - and emotional - return with their first record in 8 years, the critically acclaimed #1 album ‘The Ballad of Darren’.
The documentary follows the unique relationship of four friends - and bandmates of three decades - Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree as they came together in early 2023 to record new songs ahead of their sold-out, first ever shows at London’s Wembley Stadium in July last summer. Featuring performances of their most iconic, much-loved songs, footage of the band in the studio and life on the road, blur: To The End is an intimate moment in time with this most enduring of English bands, who have been at the heart of British cultural life and influence for over three decades.
blur: Live At Wembley Stadium is a cinematic two-hour concert film immortalising the band’s historic 2023 show which saw blur perform their iconic and much-loved songs for 150,000 fans in a transcendent, once-in-a-generation performance that delivered a sweep of ecstatic 5* reviews.
Both films are directed by Toby L and produced by Josh Connolly , via production house Up The Game , who previously collaborated on Liam Gallagher: Knebworth 22, Olivia Rodrigo: SOUR Prom, Foals: Rip Up the Road, Tonight With Arlo Parks, Bastille - ReOrchestrated, and many more titles for a wide range of artists.

Since announcing their arrival with debut album Leisure in 1991, blur went on to revolutionise the sound of English popular music with seven successive UK #1 albums Parklife (1994), The Great Escape (1995), Blur (1997), 13 (1999), Think Tank (2003), The Magic Whip (2015) and The Ballad of Darren (2023) and a string of Top 10 singles, including two #1s with Country House and Beetlebum, helping to propel the band to mass popularity at home and abroad.
