Piece of Magic Entertainment (POM) has partnered with the acclaimed producer and US distributor of award-winning, international feature animation, GKIDS, on a multi-territory theatrical rights deal for All You Need Is Kill, marking the first collaboration between the two companies.

Under the agreement, POM will bring the feature film to select European cinemas across Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Poland, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Kosovo. Exact dates to be announced shortly.

Directed by Ken’ichirō Akimoto, All You Need Is Kill is a sci-fi action drama, distinct for its female-centric perspective and adapted from the acclaimed Japanese light novel of the same name. The story follows a young woman caught in a time loop, reliving the same deadly day an alien species suddenly awakens, where each reset brings new psychological and physical stakes.

All You Need Is Kill receives this theatrical special engagement having drawn attention on the festival circuit through late 2025, with selections at Annecy, Sitges, Fantasia and New York Comic Con, and opening in more than 700 U.S. theatres in January 2026.

A visually ambitious production from Studio 4°C, the film blends high-impact action with introspective themes of survival, repetition and resilience, appealing strongly to the growing, global appetite for prestige animation targeted at teen and young adult audiences.

Dave Jesteadt, President of GKIDS said:

“We are thrilled to partner with Piece of Magic to ensure that more audiences in more territories worldwide can experience the spectacle of All You Need Is Kill where it’s best: on a big theatre screen, with other fans.”

Caspar Nadaud, CEO & Founder of Piece of Magic Entertainment said:

All You Need Is Kill is a striking piece of filmmaking: visually bold, electric, and driven by a perspective that feels very contemporary. It’s exactly the kind of storytelling we believe deserves to be seen on the big screen. We are pleased to be collaborating with GKIDS, whose established commitment to bringing ambitious anime films to cinemas closely mirrors our own.”

Further release details and event screening information will follow.
