Piece of Magic Entertainment is thrilled to be partnering with Vue Lumière for the European theatrical release of Bluey at the Cinema: Let’s Play Chef Collection following Vue Lumière’s acquisition of rights from BBC Studios. The release follows the UK and Ireland box office success of both Bluey at the Cinema: Family Trip Collection and Let’s Play Chef Collection.

This new cinema event will be brought to audiences across key European territories including Spain, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Poland. The first release is set for Spain on 23 July 2025, with further markets to follow.
Curated by BBC Studios and Ludo Studio, Bluey at the Cinema: Let’s Play Chef Collection is an hour-long theatrical presentation made up of eight existing fan-favorite episodes from the global hit TV series. Each episode showcases the fun and games that Bluey and her family enjoy together, with food at the heart of them , supporting BBC Studios’ 2025 marketing theme: Let’s Play Chef. Highlights include Takeaway, Fancy Restaurant, Omelette, and Duck Cake.

Johnny Carr, Head of Event Cinema and Distribution at Vue Lumière, said:
“Following outstanding box office success in the UK and Ireland - with over 400,000 admissions for the Family Trip Collection and Let’s Play Chef Collection - we’re thrilled to be expanding Bluey’s cinema adventures across Europe. We’re especially delighted to be partnering with Piece of Magic, whose local expertise and shared commitment to high-quality family entertainment make them the perfect collaborators for this next chapter. We’re also pleased to be strengthening our relationship with BBC Studios as we bring Bluey at the Cinema to new markets across the continent - continuing to deliver unmissable big-screen experiences for families with one of the world’s most cherished animated series.”

Caspar Nadaud, CEO and Founder of Piece of Magic Entertainment, added:
" This release underscores Piece of Magic’s expansion into premium preschool cinema, following recent releases such Peppa Meets the Baby in the Netherlands and upcoming releases such as Fireman Sam in France, Tummy Tom in Australia and New Zealand. There’s nothing more rewarding than working with preschool content - especially one as beloved as Bluey. Representing this phenomenal brand in partnership with Vue Lumière and BBC Studios is not only a privilege, but also a joy to share with my own two-year-old daughter."

Cecilia Persson, Managing Director of BBC Studios Kids & Family, said: “The Let’s Play Chef compilation was met with overwhelming enthusiasm from audiences across the UK and Ireland. We can’t wait for more fans and families in Europe to experience the joy of seeing Bluey on the big screen this summer.”
